# Securely store recovery words for your wallet

When you create a new wallet directly on the LFG app, you will be required to see, and confirm, your **Secret Recovery Phrase**. This is a unique combination of 12 words of varying length that are easily usable in the future, should you need to recover your account. 

This of the phrase as a password to your wallet.

1. Create a new account using the LFG app, and give it any name you want such as *Daily spending*, *Investment and savings*, or anything else.
2. When adding the app will remind you to back up your phrase whereby you need to tap on **Reveal your words** to get started.
3. You can copy those words to your clipboard to paste elsewhere, such as your password manager but ensure they are very safely kept! 
4. Once you have the order of the words you will be required to tap the words in the correct order to carry on using the wallet.
